Base Salary
$190k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and creatives on AI-assisted agentic workflow strategy.
- Design and own architecture for AI-powered frameworks and automation across the studio pipeline and platforms.
- Define ingestion, processing, and routing architecture for metrics, logs, and traces.
- Integrate AI solutions with industry digital content creation tools and existing artist-facing toolsets.
- Prototype automation for asset tagging, scene preparation, render queue management, shot setup, and versioning.
- Evaluate AI frameworks, foundation models, and automation technologies for creative production and operational stability.
- Build reusable AI components, automation patterns, and reference implementations.
- Write, test, deploy, monitor, and maintain production-ready tools in active show pipelines.
- Drive adoption through training, documentation, stakeholder collaboration, and communication with artists and engineers.
- Establish and report metrics measuring the productivity impact of engineering tooling investments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years building production systems, including 2+ years building AI/ML systems for real workflows.
- Hands-on experience deploying enterprise software in AI, data, or integration environments.
- Expertise with containerization, orchestration, Python, TypeScript, React, LangGraph, Spring AI, and MCP.
- Deep understanding of LLM model integration and tuning.
- Experience designing automation that reduces manual work in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Ability to influence senior engineers without authority and serve as a technical mentor.
- Experience building durable frameworks, templates, training materials, or open-source artifacts.
- Excellent communication skills across artists, production management, and engineering teams.
- 2+ years in a Principal, Staff, or Lead role responsible for AI or pipeline automation.
- Strong understanding of animation production pipelines, departmental workflows, and industry-standard DCC software.
- Familiarity with USD, Autodesk Flow Production Tracking, and Jira.
- Experience measuring and reporting the productivity impact of engineering tooling investments.
- Passion for animation, storytelling, or creative production.
