Base Salary
$156k - $209k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead execution across complex and ambiguous technical problem spaces by translating product and business requirements into scalable solutions.
- Design, write, test, and deploy reliable and maintainable software for content inspection pipelines.
- Build and operate systems using computer vision and vision-language models to analyze video and image content and generate temporal metadata.
- Partner with platform engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders on technical approaches and business objectives.
- Investigate production issues, participate in on-call support, and remediate defects.
- Promote engineering quality through design reviews, code reviews, testing, documentation, and peer mentoring.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least one core programming language, such as Java or Python.
- Experience designing and building distributed systems and REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Strong experience with AWS and cloud-native system design.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies in production environments.
- Expertise across the full application development lifecycle, including unit testing, code reviews, and documentation.
- Experience with a wide range of data store technologies.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and strong oral and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a comparable field of study, and equivalent work experience.
- Preferred: experience building or supporting production computer vision systems for video, visual search systems with time-aligned metadata and retrieval, prompt engineering and LLM interaction, and media or entertainment technology.
