Base Salary
$158k - $212k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead execution across complex and ambiguous technical problem spaces.
- Design, write, test, deploy, and maintain reliable software solutions.
- Build and operate content inspection pipelines applying computer vision and vision-language models to video and image content.
- Develop systems that extract temporal metadata, including scene boundaries, visual events, object presence, and contextual signals.
- Partner with platform engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders on technical approaches.
- Provide production support through issue investigation, on-call participation, and defect remediation.
- Promote engineering quality through design reviews, code reviews, testing, documentation, and peer mentoring.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a comparable field of study, and equivalent work experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least one core programming language, such as Java or Python.
- Experience designing and building distributed systems and REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Strong experience with AWS and cloud-native system design.
- Ability to translate product requirements and business needs into effective, scalable technical solutions.
- Production experience with containerization and orchestration technologies.
- Expertise across the full application development lifecycle, including unit testing, code reviews, and documentation.
- Experience with a wide range of data store technologies.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and strong oral and written communication skills.
- Preferred experience building or supporting production computer vision systems that analyze video content.
- Preferred experience building visual search systems for video, including time-aligned metadata generation, indexing, retrieval, and deep links to relevant moments.
- Preferred experience with prompt engineering and interacting with LLMs.
- Previous media or entertainment technology experience, particularly in content distribution and media supply chains, is preferred.
