Responsibilities

  • Develop, train, evaluate, and fine-tune computer vision and visual language models.
  • Work on object recognition, detection, classification, and identification.
  • Build data pipelines, scrapers, and workflows for large-scale visual and geospatial datasets.
  • Experiment with state-of-the-art and open-source models and productionize promising approaches.
  • Work with satellite imagery, geospatial data, sensors, and other visual intelligence sources.
  • Own experimental projects and collaborate with engineers, technical leadership, and cross-functional teams.
  • Travel every 2–4 weeks for architecture reviews and team events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field, with an excellent grade record from a leading university; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Strong academic record, analytical ability, problem-solving skills, programming skills, and experience developing or fine-tuning AI/ML models.
  • Experience with computer vision, visual language models, image understanding, or related ML applications.
  • Strong interest in data, analytics, and data pipelines, with the ability to learn new technologies and domains quickly.
  • Self-directed, hands-on, collaborative, and able to work independently with clear communication.
  • Excellent German language skills.
  • Eligibility to work full-time in Germany and willingness to complete required security clearance and background checks.
  • Preferred experience includes georeferencing, satellite imagery, remote sensing, OpenStreetMap, photogrammetry, large-scale data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, ML deployment, sensors, computer vision research, or military, intelligence, defense, and public safety domains.
  • Knowledge of Russian or Ukrainian is a plus.
