Base Salary
$125k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build AI-powered features using TypeScript and modern AI frameworks.
- Break down complex or unclear problems and propose practical solutions.
- Make tradeoffs among speed, correctness, and long-term maintainability.
- Work independently to investigate unknowns, evaluate options, and deliver solutions.
- Collaborate with product and design to align on goals and ship product improvements.
- Talk with users and use the product to identify real-world needs and opportunities.
- Learn new concepts quickly, overcome obstacles, and contribute to production systems.
- Stay current with AI research and engineering developments.
Requirements
- Strong technical foundation from a top computer science program or equivalent hands-on experience building real systems.
- Solid programming fundamentals and comfort with TypeScript.
- Evidence of ambitious, self-driven projects or internships involving problem-solving and ownership.
- Exceptional ability to read deeply, reason clearly, and communicate complex ideas.
- Curiosity about AI systems and willingness to investigate difficult problems.
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Prior internships in AI, backend, or infrastructure engineering are preferred.
- Being among the first 10 hires at a startup and having initiative-driven personal projects are preferred.
