Responsibilities
- Understand and improve the MongoDB query engine.
- Write high-quality C++ code and participate in code reviews.
- Design, implement, test, and support query performance, robustness, language enhancement, diagnostic, and integration features.
- Deliver complex functionality, fix bugs, lead major feature development, and mentor new engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in systems programming.
- Hands-on experience building industrial-strength software and working with large codebases.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design and architecture.
- Experience with C++, C, Rust, or a similar compiled language.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a similar field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Database or data management systems experience is a plus.
- Hands-on query engine experience or an M.Sc./Ph.D. in the domain is a plus.
