Responsibilities
- Design scalable technical solutions and contribute to the platform’s architectural vision.
- Build and ship backend services using Kotlin, Postgres, and related technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders in a cross-functional team.
- Deploy and iterate on services using CircleCI and Spinnaker.
- Own, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain team-managed services, including diagnosing root causes and deploying fixes.
- Mentor more junior engineers and align service development with the broader engineering strategy.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience working at a similar level in a mature engineering team.
- A degree in a STEM subject or an equivalent alternative career path.
- Technical expertise in at least one programming language, particularly Python, Kotlin, or Ruby.
- Ideally, experience working with relational databases.
- A demonstrable track record of impact and strong problem-solving ability.
- Highly driven, proactive, meticulous, and attentive to detail.
