D-Wave SystemsResponsibilities
- Maintain and build Python and C++ packages, including package maintenance, build tools, CI pipelines, and open-source software development.
- Write clean, documented, testable code for Ocean software tools and contribute to the Ocean SDK, its sub-packages, and QPU development tools.
- Maintain, test, and develop open- and closed-source software supporting research teams, customers, and the quantum computing developer community.
- Build and adapt examples and tutorials for internal and external users while collaborating with internal teams and clients.
- Contribute to architecture, implementation, documentation, user-experience improvements, and software quality across end-to-end projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, physics, or mathematics, or equivalent experience, with several years of professional software development experience.
- Demonstrated experience with open-source software and contributions to open-source or customer-facing software.
- Excellent Python and C++ skills, including package maintenance and build tools for both languages.
- Experience incorporating builds and tests into continuous integration platforms such as CircleCI, Appveyor, Jenkins, or Travis.
- Experience working on end-to-end software projects from architecture through implementation and documentation.
- Understanding of how programming languages function under the hood and a commitment to maintainable, well-documented code.
- Effective technical communication skills and willingness to collaborate directly with clients and internal teams.
- Familiarity with linear algebra, graph theory, and combinatorial optimization is a plus.
- Previous quantum computing experience is beneficial but not required.
