Base Salary
$240k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate operational workflows.
- Improve infrastructure performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to standardize environments and deployment patterns.
- Maintain observability and incident response processes.
- Help ensure cloud-based systems remain secure, compliant, and scalable.
- Build scalable backend solutions in collaboration with full-stack, data, AI, and DevOps engineers.
- Own projects through completion with minimal oversight and communicate progress and blockers proactively.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering or DevOps experience, ideally including infrastructure, performance, security, or compliance work.
- Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Proficiency with Python; strong candidates from other object-oriented programming backgrounds may also be considered.
- Experience with serverless technologies, including Lambda and EC2, asynchronous workflows, and cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and database performance tuning, ideally PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of Terraform, infrastructure-as-code best practices, and Docker or similar tools.
- Experience with LLMs/generative AI or distributed systems is a bonus.
- Ability to take ownership, drive projects to completion, communicate proactively, and iterate through experimentation.
