Responsibilities
- Build and use automation frameworks for web-based applications.
- Perform in-sprint automation and automate CI/CD pipelines.
- Identify, review, and execute test cases and analyze testing results.
- Transform complex requirements into test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
- Prepare test strategies, test plans, requirement traceability matrices, and test reports.
- Conduct manual testing of web and Windows-based applications.
- Perform sanity, functional, integration, exploratory, and system testing.
- Test web services using Postman, REST Assured, JSON Lint, and SOAP UI.
- Create virtual machines and configure automation test suites and runners.
- Write medium-complex SQL queries, including joins and subqueries.
- Analyze risks and track defects and test activities using relevant tools.
- Collaborate with global teams in an Agile delivery environment.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of experience in QA and automation testing.
- Expertise in automation testing of web-based applications.
- Experience building and using automation frameworks with Java or C#.
- Hands-on programming experience with C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with Selenium, SpecFlow, BDD, Protractor, or WebdriverIO.
- Proficiency with Git or another version control tool.
- Good knowledge of manual testing for web and Windows-based applications.
- Hands-on experience preparing test strategies, test plans, and requirement traceability matrices.
- Experience testing web services and working with JSON, XML, REST, Postman, REST Assured, JSON Lint, and SOAP UI.
- Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, TFS/MTM, or Bugzilla.
- Experience with test management tools such as TFS/MTM or ALM.
- Understanding of SDLC and STLC lifecycles and experience working in an Agile environment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical reasoning, communication, writing, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Experience testing LIMS is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of performance testing and security testing is desirable.
