Base Salary
$174k - $274k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the largest and most complex team problems from technical design through launch.
- Provide technical leadership and determine plans of attack for high-impact, large-scale projects.
- Address complex architecture challenges and apply architectural standards to new projects.
- Champion high technical standards and engineering excellence across Atlassian.
- Partner with engineering teams on company-wide initiatives spanning multiple projects.
- Share technical knowledge and best engineering practices.
- Mentor and develop the next generation of technical leaders.
- Consider customer impact when making technical decisions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of full stack development experience with one or more prominent languages or technologies such as Java, Scala, Node, JavaScript, or React.
- Bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in computer science, or equivalent experience.
- Deep experience with systems engineering at scale, including testing, reliability, security, and observability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience collaborating with and mentoring junior team members.
- Familiarity with A/B testing techniques.
