Base Salary
$248k - $279k/yr
Responsibilities
- Accelerate growth of revenue streams and develop new monetization opportunities across Nitro, Shop, Server Boosting, and User Identity.
- Own complex initiatives end to end by refining requirements, creating technical specifications, and partnering with Product and Design through delivery.
- Drive technical alignment across systems, products, teams, and long-term engineering vision.
- Advise leadership on technical considerations, engineering excellence, and strategic planning.
- Lead full-stack engineering work across web, Android, and iOS while setting and maintaining the team’s technical bar.
- Prototype features rapidly and use experimentation to synthesize insights in ambiguous problem spaces.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience and a record of leading large, high-impact initiatives from inception to launch.
- Expertise in React and React Native, with solid Python backend development skills.
- Experience with web development using React and TypeScript, mobile development using React Native, and some Kotlin, Objective-C, or Swift.
- Strong product sense, user empathy, technical leadership, ownership, and holistic problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of React performance and client-server performance optimization.
- Preferred experience in growth, revenue generation, product monetization, user engagement, experimentation, data-driven decision-making, and optimizing consumer applications at scale.
- Passion for Discord and its community is preferred.
