Base Salary

$174k - $239k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain robust backend services and intuitive frontend interfaces for the Identity Governance and Administration product.
  • Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure across high-compliance security baselines.
  • Support operations in disconnected, air-gapped, and top-secret defense environments.
  • Maintain security controls, audit readiness, and continuous monitoring for classified networks.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure deployments meet stringent governmental security standards.
  • Drive improvements to CI/CD, observability, documentation, reliability, technical debt, and support processes.
  • Partner with Product and Design to own desired customer outcomes.
  • Mentor peer engineers and raise the technical bar across the team.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Must possess an active clearance or be able to obtain and maintain a high-level government security clearance such as Secret, Top Secret, or SCI.
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience shipping enterprise cloud software.
  • Hands-on coding experience at scale using Java, Python, or TypeScript.
  • Experience with REST or gRPC APIs and UI automation using Playwright, Selenium, or an equivalent.
  • Experience with CI/CD, CircleCI or an equivalent, Docker, Kubernetes, and a major cloud platform.
  • Ability to apply, evaluate, and adopt AI tooling across the software development lifecycle and establish effective team practices.
  • Proven ability to define scalable backend architectures, integrate complex APIs with modern web technologies, and make architectural decisions with lasting organizational impact.
  • Deep expertise building reliable, secure, enterprise-grade software in Java or another type-safe language.
  • High proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and the ability to ship robust frontends.
  • Understanding of web authentication, authorization, and protection of sensitive user data.
  • Preferred experience with FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, air-gapped systems, air-gap architectures, strict access controls, zero-trust frameworks, or data diode and secure transfer mechanisms.
  • Preferred experience with identity governance, identity and access management, SSO, SCIM provisioning, directory integration, privileged access, and platforms such as Okta, SailPoint, Saviynt, One Identity, or Oracle.
  • Preferred compliance experience with SOX, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP, including audit evidence validation.

Benefits

  • Annual base salary range of $174,000–$239,000 USD for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area, plus equity where applicable, bonus, and benefits.
