Base Salary

$130k - $145k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain reliable Go backend microservices and Angular frontend applications.
  • Develop RESTful APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger specifications and support service-to-service integration.
  • Build scalable Angular user interfaces and shared component libraries.
  • Deploy independently deployable services using Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Implement unit, integration, smoke, and end-to-end testing with Ginkgo, Jest, and Cypress.
  • Own complex technical challenges, make architectural decisions across multiple services, and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Drive technical initiatives, evaluate tradeoffs, and influence platform-wide technical direction.
  • Experiment with LLMs, agentic tools, and AI-integrated features to improve development and user experiences.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and developers to deliver user-focused features.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-stack software development experience with production systems.
  • Strong Go experience building backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
  • Proficiency with Angular and TypeScript for frontend development.
  • Understanding of microservices architecture, service discovery, inter-service communication, and distributed-system patterns.
  • Experience with REST API design and OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.
  • Production experience with MySQL, including schema design and query optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern Kubernetes deployment practices.
  • Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing frameworks.
  • Comfort working in AWS or similar cloud environments.
  • Ability to solve complex problems, evaluate tradeoffs, and make implementation decisions affecting multiple services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience in large-scale microservices environments, system design, cross-team technical initiatives, mentoring, code generation, build automation, Helm chart development, Kubernetes deployment strategies, JWT authentication, and role-based authorization is preferred.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit or social-good technology challenges is a bonus.
  • Candidates must not require current or future employment-authorization sponsorship.
