Responsibilities
- Build and operate a FastAPI-based platform for trading, analytics, risk, and back-office workflows.
- Build internal AI tools, including Snowflake-based agents for natural-language exploration of firm data.
- Design scalable APIs for trades, positions, exposures, and investor accounting.
- Develop performant and usable data services on Snowflake.
- Integrate AWS Bedrock and Snowflake Cortex LLM capabilities into applications, conversational interfaces, and document workflows.
- Connect BI tools, AWS services, and internal platforms across the application stack.
- Implement Redis Queue background-processing pipelines for reporting and asynchronous workflows.
- Define and manage infrastructure with Terraform and AWS.
- Maintain code quality through testing, CI/CD, and coding standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex data needs into reliable systems.
Requirements
- Around 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong Python skills and experience building production APIs.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with data warehouses; Snowflake experience is a plus.
- Experience with AWS and infrastructure as code; Terraform is preferred.
- Familiarity with Docker, Redis, and background job systems.
- Interest in or experience with LLMs and AI features, including prompting, RAG, and agents.
- Experience with relational databases and ORMs, including PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy.
- Strong testing practices and a focus on code quality.
- Clear communication skills and an appreciation for simple, maintainable code.
