Base Salary
$230k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Partner with product managers, architects, and product leaders to deliver cloud-based solutions and define platform roadmaps and shared-services strategy.
- Use programming languages, databases, containers, orchestration services, and AWS tools to build solutions.
- Mentor engineers, participate in technology communities, and drive professional development and engineering standards.
- Lead architectural design reviews, establish coding standards and design patterns, and implement observability and reliability practices at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Preferred: 9+ years coding with more than two of Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred: experience with open-source frameworks, frontend JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, databases, cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred: experience mentoring senior engineers, using observability to optimize distributed systems, leading architecture reviews, enforcing coding standards, and implementing reliability practices.
- Preferred: experience with AI-based coding tools and interactive AI productivity tooling, portfolio-level technology strategy, and large-scale cross-functional engineering initiatives.
