Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain closed- and open-source software for network discovery, reconciliation, observability, monitoring, and agent fleet management.
- Develop multi-tenant, event-driven services with at-least-once delivery and idempotent consumers.
- Work with product owners, the NetBox team, the platform team, and community contributors to deliver observability tooling and integrations.
- Use coding agents while setting constraints, reviewing output, and remaining accountable for correctness, security, and tests.
- Write technical specifications with diagrams and communicate effectively with cross-functional collaborators.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Deep experience with idiomatic Go.
- Experience with protobuf APIs, gRPC, Connect RPC, PostgreSQL including migrations, Redis, and RabbitMQ.
- Experience with multi-tenant services, OAuth2/OIDC, and event-driven systems.
- Deep knowledge of observability and instrumentation, including OpenTelemetry.
- Solid understanding of network devices, configuration, protocols, and layers.
- Ability to use coding agents responsibly and ensure correctness, security, and test coverage.
- Preferred: 3+ years in a fast-paced startup environment, MQTT or other device/IoT protocols, gNMI, Kubernetes in production, Django, NetBox or NetBox plugins, and Python for tests and tooling.
