Responsibilities
- Build and maintain innovative product features across the Sezzle platform.
- Collaborate with product feature owners and engineers across multiple teams to improve solutions.
- Participate in design and architecture discussions and contribute ideas for new features.
- Write and review code as an active hands-on contributor.
- Mentor engineers beginning their careers.
- Help continuously build and deploy scalable solutions.
- Assist with project planning, estimation, and completion.
Requirements
- Experience solving technical problems as part of a team.
- Familiarity with modern frontend development, preferably with React.
- Ability to solve backend problems using Go or a similar compiled, statically typed language.
- Intermediate understanding of relational databases such as MySQL.
- Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
- Knowledge of automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservice architecture, software engineering tools, development methodology, and release processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3–7 years of experience for this mid-level development role.
