Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, debug, test, and optimize scalable Python software components across systems and applications.
- Collaborate with multiple teams, contribute to key technical decisions, and provide solutions across teams.
- Lead software development best practices that improve engineering processes and team productivity.
- Mentor junior team members and coordinate cross-functional efforts for timely project delivery.
- Use approved AI coding assistants for Python services and automation scripts, and validate generated code for correctness, security, data handling, dependency risk, and performance.
- Integrate LLM APIs into Python services and develop tested AI-enabled automation with structured outputs and retrieval-augmented generation.
- Evaluate AI response quality, latency, cost, prompt-injection resistance, and sensitive-data handling.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with Python.
- Strong experience developing scalable software solutions with modern frameworks and tools.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, efficient code following industry standards.
- Experience with debugging, testing, and optimizing software for performance and reliability.
- Understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
- Hands-on experience with approved coding assistants, context-rich prompting, generated-code review, and automated test validation.
- Ability to integrate LLM APIs, implement structured outputs and RAG, and use retrieval or vector-store integrations.
- Knowledge of capital markets and investment management, including securities, trading, portfolio management, investment operations, and related financial services processes.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, make technical decisions, lead best-practice implementation, and mentor junior engineers.
