Responsibilities
- Advise prospects and customers throughout ClickHouse evaluation, scaling, and production deployment.
- Design reference architectures, data models, and ingestion and query patterns for customer use cases and existing data stacks.
- Own technical proofs of concept and benchmarks demonstrating performance, scalability, and cost advantages.
- Partner with Account Executives on technical account strategy, procurement and security reviews, and complex deal execution.
- Deliver technical presentations, demos, and workshops to engineering and executive audiences.
- Advise on schema design, query optimization, cluster sizing, replication, and migrations from other databases.
- Share structured customer feedback with product and engineering teams.
- Create reusable demos, technical content, reference architectures, and sample applications.
- Contribute to team best practices, tooling, and onboarding materials.
Requirements
- Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Data Engineer, or Technical Consultant, ideally in infrastructure, database, or analytics.
- Deep hands-on SQL and analytical or OLAP database experience, including platforms such as ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Druid, Vertica, or Redshift.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, including partitioning, replication, consistency trade-offs, and query execution at scale.
- Familiarity with streaming systems, orchestration tools, BI tools, and cloud infrastructure such as Kafka, AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Track record of running technical evaluations, influencing buying decisions, and communicating with both engineers and executive stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel periodically for customer visits, conferences, and team events.
- Production ClickHouse experience, real-time analytics or observability experience, open-source data infrastructure contributions, and early-stage or hypergrowth startup experience are preferred.
