Responsibilities
- Research, propose, implement, train, and evaluate LLM models and techniques end to end.
- Build and maintain reproducible training pipelines and evaluation harnesses.
- Apply AI and machine learning methods to real-world datasets and develop practical, scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with research scientists, engineers, product managers, and product owners to deliver high-impact work.
- Own projects from design through implementation, testing, and delivery.
- Improve enterprise models through data curation, pretraining, post-training, and inference optimization.
Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 4+ years with a master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in LLM post-training, supervised fine-tuning, and distillation.
- Expertise in reinforcement learning for LLMs, including PPO, GRPO, DPO, and reward modeling.
- Hands-on experience with distributed and large-scale training, FSDP, DeepSpeed, Megatron, and tensor, pipeline, expert, and data parallelism.
- Experience generating synthetic data and curating large-scale datasets through deduplication, filtering, and data-mixture design.
- Familiarity with decoder-only/autoregressive, encoder-decoder, and mixture-of-experts transformer architectures.
- Expert-level Python with strong object-oriented programming and design-pattern fundamentals.
- Ability to read current research and rapidly prototype and experiment with new ideas.
- Preferred: experience with evaluation harnesses, contamination checks, custom enterprise benchmarks, and pretraining or end-to-end pretraining/post-training workflows.
- Preferred: familiarity with vLLM, SGLang, quantization, KV-cache tradeoffs, top-tier research publications, Claude Code, and Codex.
