Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Apply NLP, causal ML, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and generative AI techniques to financial problems.
- Design experiments and MVPs for new AI-driven product experiences in partnership with software engineers, product managers, and designers.
- Lead the technical roadmap for a product area or domain and drive end-to-end architecture for data science solutions.
- Build evaluation methodologies and AI guardrails for model accuracy, explainability, fairness, and responsible AI practices.
- Architect reusable pipelines that move machine learning models from research prototypes into stable production services.
- Translate statistical and algorithmic concepts into business-focused insights for senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and follow developments in academia and technology to improve MSCI products.
Requirements
- 10+ years of cumulative industry experience in dedicated data science or machine learning roles.
- 3+ years as a technical lead steering data science initiatives or managing mission-critical machine learning workflows.
- Expert-level knowledge of optimization methods, including gradient methods and Bayesian optimization, and foundational machine learning frameworks.
- Hands-on coding experience in big-data environments using Python, Scala, Java, or R, plus strong SQL capabilities.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in a highly quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or Economics.
