
Software Development Engineer in Test II - Contractor

Responsibilities
- Review product requirements and design documents and create effective testing strategies.
- Plan and execute UI testing activities, including test plans, test cases, and automated tests.
- Build, maintain, and improve test automation frameworks and automation infrastructure.
- Develop standards for continuous build and deployment, automated testing, and end-to-end testing.
- Maintain PS5 devices used for testing.
- Manage Jenkins jobs and report their statuses.
- Collaborate with developers and product owners to ensure features and bug fixes have automated test coverage.
- Assist with production deployment support and post-release activities.
- Report, track, and verify defects.
- Promote quality improvements, best practices, and process improvements within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent knowledge.
- Experience building and executing test plans and test cases.
- Experience writing automated tests in Python, JavaScript, or another programming language.
- Understanding of automation testing frameworks such as pytest.
- Experience configuring test pipelines for continuous integration, with Jenkins preferred.
- Practical experience using Git, Jenkins, and Appium.
- Experience with test case management systems, including JIRA, QTest, or QMetry.
- Ability to estimate effort and feature size.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
