Base Salary
$149k - $224k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop production-grade software using modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development workflows.
- Build scalable backend services and APIs in a microservices-based, multi-tenant SaaS cloud environment.
- Develop MuleSoft platform capabilities including integration flows, API lifecycle management, and runtime operations.
- Participate in architecture reviews and collaborate with engineers and architects on platform-aligned designs.
- Review human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance.
- Create test strategies and write unit, integration, and functional tests.
- Participate in on-call rotation and troubleshoot complex production issues.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver features.
- Mentor junior MTS and AMTS engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience with distributed systems and large-scale SaaS platforms.
- Strong programming skills in one or more of Java, Python, Scala, Go, or Node.js, with Java strongly preferred.
- Understanding of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including Anypoint Studio, DataWeave, API Manager, Runtime Manager, and MQ.
- Experience with REST, SOAP, or GraphQL API design and microservices architecture.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong SQL and NoSQL database skills, including PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of OAuth 2.0, JWT, and mTLS security fundamentals.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and triage abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- B.Tech, B.E., or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- MuleSoft Certified Developer L1/L2 certification, event-driven architecture experience, Agentforce or AI-integrated workflow familiarity, Kubernetes and Docker experience, and integration-platform or API-gateway experience are preferred.
