Responsibilities
- Own front-end implementation for assigned marketing website initiatives from technical assessment and estimation through development, UAT support, and release.
- Build responsive, cross-browser, accessible interfaces from approved wireframes and visual designs using semantic HTML, modern CSS, and JavaScript.
- Develop reusable components and templates and maintain website consistency across Progress product brands.
- Make CMS content and configuration updates while following publishing, governance, and quality standards.
- Partner with QA to resolve defects and ensure acceptance criteria are met before release.
- Optimize front-end performance, accessibility, code quality, and maintainability, and raise technical risks or dependencies early.
- Collaborate with UX, Design, QA, SEO/AEO, Content, back-end engineering, and business stakeholders.
- Manage workload across multiple priorities, communicate progress and blockers, and keep documentation current.
- Use approved AI coding assistants when useful and review and test generated code before use.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a product development organization delivering scalable, high-quality software solutions.
- Hands-on knowledge of semantic HTML5, modern CSS, responsive layouts, custom properties, and container queries.
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript and browser developer tools.
- Understanding of web accessibility standards and their application during implementation.
- Experience with Git-based workflows, npm, and CI/CD concepts.
- Experience implementing interfaces from Figma or Adobe design files with strong attention to detail.
- Practical knowledge of cross-browser testing, debugging, and front-end performance optimization.
- Experience working with a CMS; Sitefinity, another enterprise CMS, or a headless CMS is advantageous.
- Experience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor, with sound judgment about code quality, security, and limitations.
- Working understanding of LLM concepts including prompts, tokens, hallucinations, and validating generated output.
- Strong written and spoken English and confidence working with business and technical stakeholders across regions.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with enterprise marketing websites, multi-brand environments, high-volume web delivery, SEO/AEO implementation, analytics tagging, conversion-focused landing pages, design systems, component libraries, automated testing, front-end observability, and distributed teams.
