Base Salary
$183k - $248k/yr
Responsibilities
- Guide the device software development lifecycle through security design, threat modeling, code reviews, security testing, and fuzzing.
- Analyze the security of platform components across Amazon consumer devices.
- Research and develop tools and techniques to improve device security at scale.
- Provide security expertise and consultation to device product teams.
- Identify security risks and partner with product engineers on mitigations.
- Develop security policies, procedures, training materials, and organizational security awareness.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide security-focused code and design reviews.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and embed security into platform, infrastructure, and operations design.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of non-internship experience troubleshooting systems issues, analyzing logs, or automating complex tasks with command-line tools.
- At least 5 years of experience identifying security issues and risks and developing mitigation plans.
- At least 4 years of non-internship experience with scripting, programming, and security code review.
- Knowledge of at least two of Scala, Java, Python, C, C++, or Go.
- Non-internship industry experience identifying security vulnerabilities, attack patterns, and remediation techniques.
- Experience mentoring, serving as a technical lead, or leading an engineering team.
- Preferred: experience with threat modeling or equivalent risk-identification techniques.
- Preferred: experience with security in service-oriented architectures, microservices, and web services.
- Preferred: understanding of ML/AI security, including model integrity, model protection, AI/LLM security tooling, prompt injection, over-permissioned agents, and unverified AI-generated code.
