Responsibilities

Lead the development and evolution of the design system with a focus on reusability, scalability, and maintainability.
Architect and implement reusable web components and advanced theming solutions using CSS variables, variable stacking, and color systems.
Manage the full component lifecycle, including development, production deployment, versioning, dependency management, and maintenance.
Collaborate with design, product, and engineering teams to translate design principles into technical solutions.
Champion front-end performance, accessibility, visual quality, and interaction best practices.
Mentor developers on design-system principles and implementation.
Create and maintain documentation, guidelines, and working code demonstrations for designers and developers.

8+ years of experience as a Front-End Developer, with significant focus on design-system development.
Expert proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
Deep expertise in modern front-end frameworks including Angular and React.
Advanced CSS expertise, including preprocessors, styling techniques, CSS variables, variable stacking, and color systems.
Extensive experience with Web Components in large-scale systems.
Experience scaling design systems, managing complex theming architectures, and supporting production deployments.
Strong understanding of version management, library dependency management, and packaged version control for design-system assets.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong understanding of visual detail, user interaction patterns, design aesthetics, and collaboration with UX designers.
Preferred qualifications include financial services or FinTech experience, open-source design-system contributions, advanced interaction-design expertise, and experience using AI to improve work.

The role is a full-time, at-will position with a stated base salary range of $95,000 to $209,000 per year.
Total compensation may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and company-sponsored benefits.
