Base Salary
$200k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Evolve the internal UI platform, shared components, architecture, development tools, and implementation standards supporting more than 100 business applications.
- Build full-stack UI solutions involving web front-end development, backend integration, API design, performance optimization, and system observability.
- Partner with product teams, product owners, users, and business stakeholders to define features, create user stories and journeys, iterate on designs, and deliver application UI.
- Lead the technical lifecycle of complex UI applications from architecture and technology selection through implementation, deployment, scalability, and production reliability.
- Improve code quality, development lifecycles, engineering standards, and developer workflows while mentoring junior engineers.
- Use AI throughout the development lifecycle, including decomposing engineering problems, building and operating agents and skills, and improving agentic SDLC workflows.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional UI engineering experience, including at least 2 years leading or designing front-end architectures.
- Advanced React and TypeScript expertise, including architecting large-scale performant component systems and mentoring teams on modern React patterns.
- Strong UI/UX collaboration experience, including translating business requirements into user stories, journeys, screens, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Experience partnering with product management across the product development lifecycle from vision and requirements through design iteration and delivery.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Codex, Claude, and Copilot throughout software development, plus experience incorporating AI into product features or development workflows.
- Familiarity with Redux, Zustand, and RxJS; advanced data grid and charting experience with real-time or high-volume datasets; and unit and end-to-end testing experience.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as RTL, Mocha, Jest, Cypress, and Playwright.
- Preferred experience includes internal tools for trading, analytics, compliance, finance, or fintech; AWS EC2; Kubernetes deployments; CI/CD pipelines; Apache Kafka; Apache Spark; design systems; React micro-frontends; and backend development in Go, Python, Java, or Rust.
- Strong engineering judgment, communication skills, and ability to challenge outdated patterns and collaborate with business stakeholders.
