Base Salary
$260k - $306k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the technical strategy and architecture for Vanta’s government product line.
- Design and build new product capabilities and compliance workflow features with early design partners.
- Define reusable abstractions and platform patterns for scalable government compliance systems.
- Partner with engineering teams on shared infrastructure and tagging systems.
- Drive multi-quarter technical initiatives across engineering, product, and go-to-market.
- Mentor engineers, conduct code reviews, establish engineering practices, and raise technical quality.
Requirements
- 10+ years of deep backend engineering experience.
- Track record of leading complex, multi-quarter technical initiatives in fast-paced, product-focused environments.
- Strong systems thinking, platform architecture, scalability, reuse, and maintainability skills.
- Experience in highly regulated industries such as fintech or healthcare.
- Comfort operating in early-stage 0→1 environments with evolving requirements.
- Strong product judgment, prioritization, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop engineers and improve team-wide technical quality.
- FedRAMP or government domain experience is a plus but not required.
- Curiosity and sound judgment in using AI responsibly to improve work.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
