Responsibilities
- Lead application systems analysis and programming activities in coordination with technology teams.
- Partner with management teams to integrate functions, define system enhancements, and deploy new products and process improvements.
- Resolve high-impact problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
- Provide application programming expertise and ensure designs follow the overall architecture blueprint.
- Develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards.
- Analyze complex issues and develop innovative solutions.
- Advise and coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as needed.
- Assess and manage technology and business risks while maintaining compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
Requirements
- 12+ years of relevant experience in applications development or systems analysis.
- Extensive experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects.
- Subject matter expertise in at least one area of applications development.
- Advanced knowledge of Java and the Spring Framework.
- Experience with messaging frameworks and message-oriented middleware such as JMS, IBM MQ, Tibco EMS, Kafka, Rabbit MQ, or Active MQ.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit or TestNG.
- Experience with microservice architecture.
- Experience with transactional applications requiring low latency and high availability is a plus.
- Experience using AI agents or code assistant tools.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, prioritization, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; master’s degree preferred.
