Responsibilities
- Define and help execute enterprise AI security strategy covering model selection, development, deployment, adversarial threat mitigation, and governance requirements.
- Design, build, and maintain reusable AI security frameworks, reference architectures, technical standards, secure data pipelines, and privacy-preserving machine learning patterns.
- Perform hands-on security assessments of AI systems, identify risks, and provide mitigation guidance based on security posture and detection findings.
- Build proof-of-concept solutions, reference implementations, reusable components, and security guardrails for AI and infrastructure environments.
- Apply AI security and risk frameworks, including MITRE ATLAS, NIST RMF, ISACA AI Audit Toolkit, and emerging ISO/IEC AI standards.
- Apply Zero Trust principles and integrate security controls into hybrid, cloud, on-premises, platform, pipeline, and runtime environments.
- Provide expert design reviews, technical oversight, governance standards, strategic investment advice, and mentorship to security, platform, data science, and engineering teams.
- Research emerging AI and infrastructure security technologies and translate threats, research, and regulatory guidance into scalable engineering solutions.
- Collaborate with legal, privacy, compliance, enterprise architecture, risk management, audit, application development, and application security stakeholders.
- Influence technology partners and contribute to internal and industry thought leadership through publications, presentations, patents, or standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field is required.
- 15+ years of AI experience, including significant depth in advanced technical or architectural roles.
- 5+ years of cybersecurity experience defining and integrating security standards and controls aligned with frameworks such as NIST CSF.
- Expert conceptual and hands-on knowledge of transformer-based NLP, LLM-based generative AI, and agentic AI.
- Deep expertise in adversarial machine learning, secure model deployment, AI agent authorization, AI data loss protection, AI safety, AI risk management, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.
- Strong knowledge of privacy-enhancing technologies, secure data handling, HIPAA, GDPR, Zero Trust architecture, secure AI pipelines, and cloud-based generative AI platform controls.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence large-scale, cross-functional security initiatives and build, deploy, and secure enterprise AI systems and platforms.
- Master’s degree in AI, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
- CISSP or CISM certification is preferred, and AI security, cloud security, or data protection certifications are a plus.
