Base Salary
$250k - $366k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain robust backend systems supporting machine learning operations and data-processing pipelines.
- Develop and deploy scalable AI/ML systems, including agentic AI and production applications.
- Oversee and optimize cloud infrastructure for efficient ML model deployment and operation.
- Support client-facing deployments and improve workflows for machine learning solutions.
- Work embedded with client teams on use-case discovery, product development, and AI deployment.
- Collaborate with ML engineers and data scientists to integrate advanced ML technologies.
- Participate in research and development of tools that improve AI capabilities and workflows.
- Independently investigate complex technical problems and improve system capabilities and performance.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong focus on ML engineering and deploying machine learning models in production.
- Extensive full-stack development experience, particularly in backend environments supporting AI/ML workloads.
- Prior experience working directly with clients on use-case discovery, product development, and leading client engagements.
- Strong Python proficiency and deep expertise in LLMs, AI agents, and ML model development.
- Experience designing and deploying scalable ML systems, including RAG pipelines and production-grade AI applications.
- Extensive experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure for ML workloads.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and other container management tools.
- Ability to write well-structured code and automated unit and end-to-end tests.
- Comfort with polyglot persistence models using SQL and NoSQL systems.
- Experience with MLOps frameworks and practices, including model versioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
- Ability to work independently in unstructured environments and collaborate with data scientists, researchers, and software engineers.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Benefits
- Annual salary range of $250,000–$366,000 USD, plus bonus and equity.
- Hybrid role requiring onsite client work 3–4 days per week in New York or London.
