Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and own the full lifecycle of internal services and tools for the development organization.
- Build complex backend services and APIs primarily in Go.
- Deploy owned services, maintain Helm charts, and work directly with Kubernetes clusters.
- Manage the infrastructure around services using Terraform.
- Operate owned systems and participate in on-call support.
- Improve existing internal services, integrations, and developer tooling.
- Collaborate with development teams as internal customers and contribute across the wider system where useful.
Requirements
- Strong, current expertise in Go is required.
- Experience developing complex backend services and APIs.
- Confidence working with Kubernetes clusters and deploying services with Helm.
- Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform.
- Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and key-value stores such as Redis.
- Advanced AI fluency, including applying AI to complex problem-solving, using Retrieval-Augmented Generation, and evaluating model cost-benefit tradeoffs.
- Experience with AWS and GitLab CI is nice to have.
- Experience building internal developer tools is nice to have.
