Base Salary
$80k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create test plans, test cases/scripts, testing documentation, and bug reports that assess quality and risk.
- Conduct functional, sanity, boundary, negative, compatibility, concurrency, and automated QA testing within release timelines.
- Collaborate with the automation group to improve regression test coverage.
- Work with software engineers, product managers, and QA testers in an Agile team environment.
- Develop deep product expertise and verify test outcomes for each release.
- Mentor junior software quality assurance engineers in QA methodologies and skills.
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant work experience, including software development and/or software test automation.
- Understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and black-box or automated testing approaches in a software company with short release cycles.
- Experience writing and automating test cases, including sanity and in-depth testing.
- Working knowledge and experience with SQL database queries.
- Strong Unix/Linux command-line expertise for log analysis.
- Strong experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience coding in Java and/or mobile languages.
