Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex application features, including requirements evaluation, technical specifications, detailed design, coding, testing, deployment, and production adoption.
- Conduct feasibility studies, effort estimation, risk assessment, and implementation planning for new features and system enhancements.
- Develop and optimize Java application services, frontend components, database queries, and data models.
- Build automated unit, integration, and contract tests and contribute to CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Provide post-implementation monitoring, hypercare, Level 3 technical support, and resolution of operational or functional defects.
- Apply enterprise architecture, secure coding, governance, change-management, and compliance standards.
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities using Snyk, Checkmarx, and SonarQube.
- Review code, enforce coding and testing standards, and mentor junior and mid-level developers.
- Collaborate with technical leads, Scrum Masters, product owners, business analysts, and QA engineers.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on application functionality, integrations, and core capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
- 5–8+ years of professional software engineering and systems analysis experience in enterprise Java applications.
- Senior individual-contributor experience driving complex features and modules from requirements through production deployment.
- Strong Core Java knowledge, including concurrency, multithreading, collections, and memory management.
- In-depth experience with the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot and Spring Batch/Integration.
- Full-stack experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.js workflows.
- Hands-on SQL and data-modeling experience with Oracle 19c and MongoDB.
- Experience writing automated unit and integration tests and working with Docker, OpenShift, Jenkins, and GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and globally distributed teams.
- Experience in systems analysis, software application programming, and successful project implementation.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project-management techniques and methods.
- Preferred financial-services, banking, capital-markets, or securities-services experience.
- Familiarity with SWIFT ISO 15022/20022, FIX, sFTP, and NDM.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, resilience, and deadline-management skills.
