Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java and Spring Boot backend services, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code using established design patterns and SOLID principles.
- Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver features end to end.
- Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions and mentor junior developers on AI-assisted development practices.
- Ensure application performance, security, and scalability through profiling, monitoring, and observability.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and contract tests using JUnit, Mockito, and Testcontainers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience with Java 11/17+ and the Spring Boot ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL and ORM frameworks such as JPA and Hibernate.
- Familiarity with Kafka or RabbitMQ message brokers and Redis caching.
- Proficiency with Git, GitHub Actions or Jenkins, and Docker.
- Understanding of unit and integration testing and TDD practices.
- Preferred experience with Spring Cloud, API gateways, event-driven architectures, Kubernetes, cloud-native deployment patterns, and AI coding assistants.
- Preferred familiarity with prompt engineering, custom AI agent or tooling configuration, OAuth2, JWT, and OWASP security practices.
