Base Salary
$184k - $357k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop bare-metal firmware for NVLINK-C2C and validate and debug firmware and silicon bring-up for NVIDIA products.
- Collaborate on pre-silicon firmware development and testing to validate features.
- Drive silicon bring-up, feature enablement, and debugging on silicon.
- Triage and resolve firmware issues observed during bring-up.
- Debug hardware/firmware interaction issues, boot failures, training failures, and silicon issues; isolate root causes and drive fixes.
- Develop and maintain automation and AI-assisted flows for firmware development and verification.
- Work with software, RTL design, design verification, emulation, and post-silicon teams to unblock progress.
- Refine interface bring-up and validation strategy.
- Lead or contribute to chip bring-up activities and guide and influence others when needed.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in electrical engineering with a focus on embedded systems, or equivalent experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in low-level firmware design and verification in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
- Hands-on experience debugging bare-metal firmware in RTL, SystemVerilog, and UVM testbenches using Verdi or similar debug tools.
- Ability to correlate firmware execution with RTL behavior and strong RTL and digital debugging skills.
- Programming and coding skills in C, C++, and Python.
- Experience with high-speed I/O interfaces and understanding of data structures.
- Understanding of PC systems, Windows, and Linux.
- Hands-on debugging skills and the ability to break down problems based on first principles.
- Experience developing firmware with AI agents is beneficial.
- Ability to assume different responsibilities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated success guiding and influencing others in a nuanced environment.
- A proven track record of leading chip bring-up activities is preferred.
