Base Salary

$130k - $170k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain features across the battery solution.
  • Develop and maintain client-facing REST APIs and the backend logic supporting them.
  • Build integrations with distributed internal services to simplify complexity and enable product capabilities.
  • Implement security and data protection policies, procedures, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and other teams to improve requirements, software quality, and API capabilities.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation and support the “Dev Owns Quality” culture.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Experience with the Java/Spring ecosystem and strong software design skills.
  • Expertise in RESTful web APIs, particularly APIs for external clients.
  • Familiarity with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, authentication and authorization frameworks, and system/API hardening.
  • Knowledge of automated testing, CI/CD, and monitoring tools such as GitHub Actions, Datadog, Sentry, and Metaplane.
  • Preferred experience with Python, AWS or other cloud providers, microservice architectures, event-driven messaging, React, protocol buffers, gRPC, containerized systems, and MongoDB.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively while balancing multiple use cases.
