Responsibilities
- Design, develop, optimize, and maintain scalable backend services and C#/.NET Core Web APIs.
- Implement secure, high-performance backend components with appropriate dependency injection, middleware, asynchronous programming, and error handling.
- Develop and maintain versioned and documented APIs and integrate backend services with databases, authentication providers, and external systems.
- Deploy and manage services on Azure App Service and configure application settings, environments, and secrets.
- Monitor, diagnose, and troubleshoot production systems using Azure Application Insights, logs, telemetry, and metrics.
- Write optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and data access logic for SQL Server and Azure SQL.
- Own backend deliverables for assigned features or modules and participate in technical design discussions and effort estimation.
- Conduct code reviews, uphold coding standards, identify technical risks, collaborate with QA, DevOps, and cross-functional teams, and mentor junior developers.
Requirements
- Strong experience developing backend services and C#/.NET Core Web APIs.
- Solid understanding of API design patterns and REST principles, including API security, OAuth2, JWT, and authorization practices.
- Experience with dependency injection, middleware, asynchronous architecture, database design, and performance tuning.
- Experience working with SQL Server and Azure SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Azure App Service and strong experience using Azure Application Insights for monitoring and diagnostics.
- Working knowledge of Git, with Azure DevOps preferred, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
- Ability to design and troubleshoot backend systems, optimize API and database performance, and diagnose complex technical problems.
- Experience with microservices-based environments is preferred.
- Ability to provide technical leadership at the feature or module level and mentor consultants and junior developers.
