Responsibilities
- Provide architectural advice and consultation across major programs and solution initiatives.
- Define engineering standards, technologies, frameworks, and associated working groups.
- Design Shopify solution subsystems and interfaces while owning the technical viability of the solution.
- Lead architectural design, reviews, gap analyses, and solution assessments.
- Architect and manage Shopify environments for B2B and enterprise business models.
- Build and support custom Shopify applications, automation scripts, payment integrations, and ERP data synchronization.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across technology, information management, product development, and infrastructure systems.
- Provide technical guidance to junior developers and ensure coding standards are followed.
- Communicate progress and challenges to project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years of overall experience.
- At least five years of relevant experience with Shopify Admin APIs, including REST and GraphQL.
- Proven experience architecting and managing Shopify environments for B2B or enterprise business models.
- Advanced knowledge of Liquid, JavaScript including Node.js, and Python.
- Hands-on experience integrating third-party payment providers and managing settlement flows.
- Experience with Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions, or similar ETL tools for synchronizing Shopify data with external ERP systems such as ServiceNow or a master database.
- Familiarity with PCI DSS standards, OAuth authentication, and secure API credential management using vaults such as Azure Key Vault.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale solutions.
- Understanding of Agile and SDLC methodologies.
- Expertise in debugging and troubleshooting technical issues.
