Responsibilities
- Own complex end-to-end development deliverables, including requirements evaluation, technical specifications, detailed design, coding, estimation, risk assessment, and implementation planning.
- Build, test, and deploy application features through automated testing and CI/CD pipelines, followed by post-implementation monitoring, hypercare, and Level 3 technical support.
- Align solutions with enterprise architecture, secure coding guidelines, coding standards, testing standards, and industry best practices.
- Develop unit, integration, and contract tests; participate in peer reviews; and improve application performance across Java services and database queries.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers on design patterns, framework standards, debugging, and coding practices.
- Collaborate with technical leads, Scrum Masters, product owners, business analysts, and QA engineers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities using Snyk, Checkmarx, and SonarQube while following secure SDLC, governance, change-management, and compliance procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- 5–8+ years of professional software engineering and systems analysis experience in enterprise Java applications.
- Proven experience as a senior individual contributor delivering complex features and modules from requirements through production deployment.
- Strong Core Java knowledge, including concurrency, multithreading, collections, and memory management, plus in-depth Spring ecosystem experience.
- Full-stack experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.js workflows.
- Hands-on SQL and data-modeling experience with Oracle 19c and MongoDB.
- Experience writing automated unit and integration tests and working with Docker, OpenShift, Jenkins, and GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with globally distributed teams and managing successful projects.
- Working knowledge of consulting or project-management techniques and the ability to manage deadlines, pressure, and changing requirements.
- Financial-services, banking, capital-markets, or securities-services experience is desirable.
- Familiarity with SWIFT ISO 15022/20022, FIX, sFTP, and NDM is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, interpretive-thinking, communication, resilience, and accountability skills.
