Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable, resilient, and maintainable Java/Spring services for the custody platform.
- Own technical architecture and drive design decisions across reconciliation, exception management, and data-processing workflows.
- Guide and mentor engineering specialists through code reviews, pair programming, and technical coaching.
- Translate custody operations requirements into technical designs and actionable engineering tasks.
- Partner with QA, DevOps, and production support teams to deliver reliable releases and resolve production issues quickly.
- Drive adoption of test automation, CI/CD, secure coding standards, and other engineering best practices.
- Evaluate and integrate technologies and frameworks to improve system performance and developer productivity.
- Collaborate with product, risk, and compliance teams to align technical delivery with business and regulatory priorities.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant experience building enterprise systems with Java and Spring.
- Strong software design and implementation fundamentals, including scalable system design.
- Significant experience developing multithreaded and concurrent applications.
- Hands-on experience with messaging brokers such as Kafka and distributed caching solutions.
- Experience with Agile development, systems engineering, build and release management, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Experience with application integration, software design patterns, frameworks, unit testing, automated testing, performance and memory analysis, and n-tier service-oriented architecture.
- Strong understanding of domain-driven, event-driven, and message-driven architecture and REST services.
- Understanding of Docker, container orchestration, and databases.
- Fluency in both French and English is required.
