Responsibilities
- Define, own, and evolve the end-to-end architecture of o9’s enterprise platform.
- Architect scalable and secure data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
- Establish and govern MLOps practices covering model registries, automated training and retraining, deployment, monitoring, and model and data drift detection.
- Design, train, fine-tune, and deploy deep learning and agentic models using RAG and vector database technologies.
- Lead architecture and design reviews, mentor senior and staff engineers, and establish engineering standards and patterns.
- Translate business, product, and operational requirements into durable technical architectures and platform strategy.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software architecture and building large-scale, production-grade systems.
- 5+ years of specialization in deep learning and data engineering.
- Strong proficiency in modern deep learning frameworks and agentic AI systems, including model development, fine-tuning, deployment, and lifecycle management.
- Experience with unstructured and semi-structured data and modern data engineering technologies for distributed AI workloads.
- Mastery of Python and strong backend engineering, algorithms, data structures, distributed systems, and large-scale system design expertise.
- Production experience processing large datasets and building solutions with distributed computing frameworks.
- Additional experience with Scala, Kotlin, and Rust is highly desirable.
- Ability to influence architectural decisions, build technical consensus, and make long-term engineering trade-offs.
