Responsibilities
- Build software applications and deliver enhancements supporting finance and investor processing.
- Modernize and scale core platforms through technology upgrades, cloud adoption, re-architecture, automation, and controls.
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand workflows and deliver scalable replacements.
- Design and improve high-volume messaging, streaming, transaction-processing, data warehouse, and analytics systems.
- Develop and consume services, build microservices on Kubernetes-based platforms, and create interactive web interfaces.
- Work with DevOps teams to resolve operational issues, manage CI/CD platforms, and improve system resiliency, capacity, stability, scalability, and performance.
- Collaborate with technology teams and internal and external vendors on cross-departmental initiatives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience with strong Java and Java-based technology expertise.
- Knowledge of financial products including fixed income, credit, equities, and derivatives, plus accounting, settlement, affirmation processing, and prime broker reconciliation systems.
- Extensive SQL development experience and experience building large-scale data warehouses for high-volume processing and analytics.
- Experience with Python and Databricks for data engineering, pipeline development, and large-scale analytics.
- Background developing high-volume messaging architectures, streaming platforms, and transaction-processing systems.
- Hands-on experience with services, microservices, Kubernetes-based platforms, and AWS infrastructure.
- Experience designing and building interactive web interfaces using Angular and React.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases including Redis and MongoDB, plus exposure to agentic AI frameworks.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, software development, and ethical judgment skills.
