Base Salary
$222k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own customer deployments end to end across cloud, on-premises, and self-hosted environments.
- Build integrations with coding agents, SIEM and security operations tooling, identity and access systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Configure and tune monitors, policies, and permissions and validate monitoring quality on real customer traffic.
- Debug deployment issues in customer environments and drive them to resolution with the product team.
- Run technical evaluations and proofs of concept, including scoping pilots, deploying Watcher, and demonstrating value.
- Serve as the technical counterpart to security and engineering leaders during evaluations and support security reviews, questionnaires, and customer pen tests.
- Own customer escalations, incident communication, and feature requests as the named technical contact.
- Build customer-specific capabilities, turn recurring deployment work into reusable tooling and documentation, and provide customer feedback to product planning.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
- Ability to work across the stack, primarily with Python and TypeScript, and to learn unfamiliar code quickly.
- Comfort with cloud infrastructure, networking basics, deployment tooling, and environments outside the engineer's direct control.
- Strong customer communication skills with both hands-on engineers and security leadership.
- High agency, ownership, sound judgment about bespoke versus core product work, and strong written communication.
- Ability to work at startup pace, handle ambiguity, and occasionally work at customer-driven hours.
- Comfort leveraging AI heavily for engineering and customer work while maintaining a high quality standard.
- Preferred: prior forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, or professional services experience, especially in developer tools, security, or infrastructure.
- Preferred: enterprise deployment experience including on-premises or VPC deployments, SSO or identity integration, security reviews, and procurement.
- Preferred: familiarity with SIEM, DLP, endpoint tooling, and enterprise security evaluation processes.
- Preferred: substantial experience using or building coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
- Preferred: pre-sales experience running proofs of concept or technical evaluations and willingness to travel occasionally.
- Formal AI safety background, sales experience, and quota history are explicitly not required.
