Responsibilities
- Support production systems during core hours alongside experienced engineers.
- Learn to investigate issues using logs, metrics, SQL queries, and application-level debugging.
- Help answer business and client queries by extracting and interpreting systems and trading data.
- Build confidence communicating clearly during incidents and escalations.
- Contribute to post-incident reviews and follow-up actions to improve reliability.
- Deliver small, well-scoped changes that improve platform stability and user experience.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code in C#, F#, and TypeScript.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and integration teams to understand requirements.
- Learn how to onboard and support connectivity with external parties.
- Support client onboarding and certification activities.
Requirements
- Candidates must have completed A-level or equivalent qualification.
- Relevant prior experience will also be considered.
- GCSEs in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent subjects are desirable.
- Eligible to work in the UK and able to commit to an apprenticeship program.
- Demonstrable interest in software development with a desire to specialize in C#/.NET and TypeScript.
- Comfortable with data and queries; basic-to-intermediate SQL is a plus.
- A calm, methodical approach to troubleshooting and a willingness to follow runbooks.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to various audiences.
- Willingness to use modern developer tooling responsibly.
