Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate Azure cloud infrastructure and shared platform services for digital workloads.
- Implement and maintain Azure landing zones, subscriptions, networking, identity, access management, and governance.
- Build reusable Azure PaaS, container, managed-service, deployment, and paved-road capabilities.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code, automation, reusable deployment frameworks, and internal platform tooling.
- Automate environment provisioning, configuration, and policy enforcement across environments.
- Apply security-by-design principles covering identity, networking, encryption, secrets management, auditability, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Support architecture reviews, risk assessments, audits, monitoring, logging, alerting, operational dashboards, and operational readiness.
- Partner with engineering, data engineering, security, and risk teams to drive Azure adoption and enterprise-wide platform capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership while delivering large-scale Azure platforms and cross-functional engineering initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Engineering.
- 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering leadership, or infrastructure roles.
- Hands-on experience engineering, delivering, troubleshooting, and operating Microsoft Azure environments at scale or in regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of Azure platform engineering, networking, identity, access management, governance, scalability, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using GitHub Actions, ARM, Terraform, or similar tools.
- Experience building and operating infrastructure and application delivery pipelines and reusable deployment frameworks.
- Experience building foundational cloud platform capabilities, engineering enablement tooling, or shared services for internal development teams.
- Experience with IAM models, role definitions, least-privilege access patterns, Azure API Management or similar API gateways, secure service exposure, rate limiting, and API lifecycle management.
- Preferred experience implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, operational dashboards, and SRE concepts such as SLIs, SLOs, and resilience patterns.
- Demonstrated leadership in driving large projects and partnering with technology teams and leaders across the enterprise.
