Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain backend services handling real financial transactions.
- Co-own service architecture, resilience, scalability, and production reliability using Domain-Driven Design principles.
- Lead technical design discussions, anticipate risks, mentor less experienced engineers, and contribute to technical standards.
- Write tests, configure monitoring, handle incidents, perform root cause analysis, and run post-mortems.
- Track post-release impact, identify regressions, improve service quality, and collaborate with engineers, Product Managers, and Designers.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience with large-scale web application architecture and real production constraints.
- Fluency with backend technologies or the ability to transfer quickly from similar technologies; Qonto's primary languages are Go and Ruby.
- Experience writing tests, setting up monitoring, handling incidents methodically, and performing root cause analysis.
- Ownership mindset, collaborative squad-team experience, and fluency in English.
