Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain backend services handling real-time financial transactions.
- Co-own service architecture, resilience, and scalability using Domain-Driven Design principles.
- Own reliability in production by monitoring services, handling incidents, and conducting root-cause analysis.
- Lead technical design discussions, anticipate risks, mentor less experienced engineers, and contribute to team reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement by fixing flaky CI, running post-mortems, tracking release impact, and addressing regressions.
- Collaborate in autonomous squad teams with Product, Design, Frontend, Mobile, and other engineering peers.
Requirements
- Strong backend engineering experience with exposure to large-scale web application architecture and real production constraints.
- Ability to transfer engineering experience quickly and work comfortably with similar technologies even without exact stack familiarity.
- Experience writing tests, setting up monitoring, handling incidents methodically, and performing root-cause analysis.
- Ownership mindset focused on tracking impact after release, identifying regressions, and improving systems proactively.
- Ability to collaborate in squad teams with product managers, designers, and engineers across different stacks.
- Fluent English communication skills.
