Responsibilities
- Own and operate Cassandra Keyspace as a Service for tenants.
- Design, build, test, and maintain KaaS offerings in ING’s private cloud.
- Create and maintain code in Azure DevOps Repositories and distribute it through tools and pipelines.
- Propose and implement automation, modernization, deployment, and monitoring improvements.
- Monitor metrics and logs to support performant and resilient platform operations.
- Participate in the 24/7 standby schedule after becoming fully trained.
- Perform regular Ops-person-of-the-day duties and scheduled tasks to reduce service risk.
- Collaborate with the squad, Product Manager, architect, and global ING teams, and coach other engineers when needed.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in an operational environment.
- Technical education, preferably in Information Technology.
- High level of English proficiency at C1 level.
- Experience with platform engineering and full-stack work is preferred.
- Solid understanding of operating, maintaining, and developing against NoSQL solutions such as Cassandra.
- Proficiency writing automation scripts in Python or Bash.
- Good understanding of the Linux operating system, particularly RHEL.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Azure CI/CD tools and Ansible.
- Knowledge of Go is desirable.
