Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance customer-facing Android applications using Kotlin or Java, native Android tools, MVVM, and clean architecture.
- Translate business requirements and functional specifications into maintainable code modules and software solutions with guidance from senior colleagues.
- Integrate APIs, services, CMS content, third-party SDKs, source code, and libraries.
- Develop and execute unit, UI, component integration, and user acceptance testing, including triage and defect fixes.
- Support mobile application architecture, build variants, signing assets, dependency management, CI/CD, implementation, post-implementation support, and incident troubleshooting.
- Design and deliver resilient, secure, cloud-based and on-premise solutions while following company architecture standards, design patterns, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with product management, UX, architects, software consultants, IT teams, testing teams, and vendors.
- Write technical specifications and documentation and communicate project progress, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or a related field.
- At least two years of experience in software development or a related field.
- At least two years of Java or Kotlin programming experience for the Android platform.
- Experience with native Android development, MVVM, Espresso, API and service integration, dependency management, and third-party libraries or SDKs.
- At least one year of experience with a CMS such as Adobe Experience Manager or an alternative content management tool.
- Experience with Fastlane, mobile signing assets, build schemes, flavors, and application build tools.
- Preferred experience includes location technologies such as RTLS and Beacons.
- Preferred experience includes Jenkins, SonarQube, JUnit, Gradle, TDD, mobile device cloud platforms such as Perfecto Mobile, and mobile CI/CD tools.
- Preferred experience includes Microsoft Azure or IBM WebSphere Application Server, native mobile distribution technologies, and CMS platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager.
- Preferred experience includes HIPAA- and PCI-compliant application development and Scrum or Agile development practices.
