Responsibilities
- Review requirements, functional specifications, and customer configurations to create test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, backend, API, and end-to-end testing for SaaS banking implementations.
- Validate backend data processing, file-based workflows, system integrations, APIs, batch jobs, and customer-specific configurations.
- Prepare test data, execute test cases, document results, capture evidence, and report testing progress.
- Identify, document, track, and retest defects using Jira or similar tools.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering stakeholders to clarify requirements, resolve defects, and support release readiness.
- Support UAT and validation activities with test evidence, defect updates, and scenario clarification.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites and integrate automated regression and validation tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Improve test coverage, automation, test execution efficiency, QA processes, and overall product quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of software quality assurance experience; banking, fintech, financial services, or enterprise SaaS experience is preferred.
- Familiarity or hands-on experience with AI tools or AI-assisted testing.
- Understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle, defect lifecycle, test planning, test case design, and regression testing.
- Hands-on experience with functional, backend, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Strong SQL skills for data validation, backend verification, and issue investigation.
- Experience testing APIs with tools such as Postman.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, test management tools, or similar platforms.
- Ability to translate business requirements into clear and effective test scenarios.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and support multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Preferred experience with banking platforms, financial products, pricing, billing, deposits, lending, payments, or transaction workflows.
- Preferred hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, Cucumber, Rest Assured, or similar automation frameworks.
- Preferred experience with JMeter, Kafka, ETL, batch processing, data pipelines, message-based integrations, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git, or DevOps practices.
